SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK LIVE JR Auditions. Held 2/16 at Cheyenne Little Players

Cheyenne Little Theatre Players will hold talent auditions for School House Rock Live Jr. on February 15-16, 2010 at 6:30 pm, at the Historic Atlas Theatre.

We need one adult or teenager, 10 leads, dancers, and chorus members. Children from ages 4-18 can audition. Your children will not need to come with a prepared song. The director will be teaching a simple dance and part of a song. The children will each have a small Q&A so we can get to know them better. They will also be asked to demonstrate their coolest trick. We will include every child's coolest trick in to the show.

We will be rehearsing at East High School. Our rehearsals will be from 4 pm-6 pm. All children who audition will be cast. The time commitment will vary depending on the type of role(s) your children have been cast in. Leads will have rehearsal every day, Monday through Friday. The chorus, dancers and leads will rehearse every day for the first two weeks to learn: "School House Rock Stomp and Shout", "Great American Melting Pot", "Interplanetary Janet", and the "Finale; School House Rock!" For the remaining weeks, dancers and chorus will rehearse 2 times a week, tentatively Tuesdays and Thursdays. During the final two weeks of rehearsal, the entire cast will need to be at rehearsal every night. Our performances are April 7-11, 2010 at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse.

The goal for this show is to give every child in the cast a chance to shine in their own unique way. We encourage parents to get involved by signing up or heading a team that rehearses the numbers, works on the costumes, runs lines, helps with set and props, or drills the music. Parents can sign up for a team the night their child auditions.
