Ladies and guys, think you've got appearance and the 'tude to get into the “America’s Next Top Model"? You'll have your opportunity to strut your stuff before casting agents right here in Fall River at Party Dress Express, and first in the show's 10-year history, they'll be auditioning male models too.
There's no word on whether Tyra Banks, the host of the modeling reality TV show, will be along for the auditions in Fall River, but for those who believe they've got what it takes, the top prize is $100,000, a layout in a magazine along with the exposure to modeling opportunities down the road.
"We were actually excited when the CW contacted us. We're huge fans of the show and Tyra Banks. We know the show has a bold modern take on fashion that appeals to young women, just like out store, so we know it would be a great match," said Party Dress Express owner Donna Holland in a prepared release. "What an wonderful opportunity for local guy or girl to get seen by some major casting directors and maybe even become 'America's Next Top Model'."
Holland said a local envoy from the CW network was in the store on a separate matter and noticed the large store would be idea for the local casting call. She said she was told the casting calls draw between 100 to 300 modeling hopefuls.
To be considered for the show, applicants pre-register and they must be between the ages of 18 to 27; females must be at least 5'7" tall and males must be at least 5'10" tall. They must give an application along with a headshot or recent photograph with a proper ID. According to the local CW Providence website, the winner of the local casting call will have their tape viewed by a national casting agent for America's Next Top Model.
The casting call will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Party Dress Express, 657 Quarry St.
