BURLINGTON — Auditions for the Burlington Haylofters summer musical, State Fair,will be detained at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, May 24-25, at the Malt House Theater, 109 N. Main Street.
There are several parts for men and women, and several parts for youth ages 14 and older. People auditioning should have a song prepared (accompanist provided), be ready to learn easy dance steps and be ready to cold read from the script.
This family musical is set against the colorful backdrop of an American heartland custom, as the Frake family leaves their ranch for three days at the Iowa State Fair. Mom and Pop vie for blue ribbons, while their son and daughter find romance on the midway.
