Simon Cowell refuses to ban 'prostitute' Chloe Mafia from competing on The X Factor

Simon Cowell will allow a prostitute to vie on The X Factor.

The 50 year-old said people from any walk of life should be given a possibility to win the show.

Quizzed on contestant Chloe Mafia, who was exposed to be a £160-an-hour escort, he said the show was open to everyone.

He added: We haven't banned prostitutes. We can't just take people off the demonstrate because they might do something that upsets some people.

If a person applies to be on the X Factor it's palpable to me that they want to do something better with their life.

The show's executive producer Richard Holloway said: There is no cause why she shouldn't be allowed. She wouldn't be able to be a prostitute while she's doing the show clearly.
