The American Idol Season 9 finale was generally filled with great moments -- Bret Michaels rock out with Casey James on Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Lee DeWyze and Chicago, Crystal Bowersox and Alanis Morissette, numerous Simon Cowell tributes -- but of course there had to be one off-the-rails strange moment. That's what happens when the show invites back some of its most prominent cuckoo auditions.
During comedian Dane Cook's Simon Said song, a plethora of prominent Idol Simon-taunters joined him onstage. But one, Ian Bernardo of Season 7 fame, grab the microphone from Cook and started shouting, Who cares? It's all about Ian Benardo tonight! I'm going to reinstate you, Simon Cowell! No one has a thing to speak about you, just me.
Not to be out-done, crazy laugh girl Tatiana del Toro tried to commandeer the mic next and the producers rapidly cut away from the action and went to profitable, while Cook just stood there strumming his guitar, possibly wish the stage would just open him up and swallow him whole.
