If Bret Michaels Doesn't Get The 'American Idol' Job, Here Are Four Other Jobs For Him

The American Idol finale is currently safely behind us, but the auditions for the next season will be coming up shortly and they still do not have a replacement for the departing Simon Cowell. Though a number of names have been tossed approximately, nobody has been announced to fill the chair left behind.

It's probable that the show could continue without a fourth judge (something that previous producer Nigel Lythgoe thinks is best) or they could merely run through the audition process with only three judges and add a fourth later (as they did last year with Ellen DeGeneres). But eventually it appears as though someone will be filling in the place that Cowell left behind (if not in spirit, at least in body).

Movie Review: Hands and Cloth

There was something profound in Albert Brooks’ failed odyssey looking for humor in the Muslim World, a film that searched for humor within a spiritual culture that, to most Westerners, seems completely humorless.

So any attempt at lightness coming out of the Islamic world can be renowned, even if the laughs aren’t as recurrent or as big as you’d like.

Omar Chraibi’s film, Hands and Cloth is a humor about a rustic Moroccan puppeteer going to arts school in the big city. The chief virtue of this slight and gentle-hearted, fish-out-of-water humor is its novel setting and the world the film takes us into.

Amanda Bynes–retired at 24

There’s a moment, in a casting meeting, in the newest season of TV’s Entourage. Johnny Chase, aka Johnny Drama, the veteran 40ish actor and part of his far more triumphant brother’s posse, has been meditative the idea of quitting the business.

Yes, he tells the casting people, he enjoys the job. But 18 years, and still getting only auditions? Who can knob the rejection?

Not, apparently, Amanda Bynes. She had a couple of pretty victorious TV series, was a perky-funny presence in numerous passable teen comedies, and landed the plum of a supporting role in the smack musical Hairspray.

But it wasn’t happening for her. the momentum that it takes to get to stardom evaporated, and aging out of cheap teen comedies meant that her future work would be bounded. So she tweeted that it wasn’t amusing anymore. And that she’s reserved from acting, at the ripe old age of 24.

Early favorites step into spotlight on ‘SYTYCD’

It’s time to get the dance party started! With auditions and the first sweeping, sometimes unjust (Anthony Burrell, we miss you!) cuts out of the way, we’re down to the last 11. I can’t say there’s a single really weak link that’s emerged thus far, but then again, last week we were treated to a big love-in of an episode in which each dancer hoofed it in their chosen genre, while this week we’ll absolutely see everyone pushed out of their comfort zones.

But, given how strong this batch of dancers is, that may not result in the car wrecks of seasons past, so truly, anything could happen. In other words, I wouldn’t place a bet on anyone. If anyone really betted on this show. Which would be, sincerely, a little weird, and possibly not legal even in Vegas. So let’s begin!

First off, if we can guest mate viewer response based on the applause from the studio audience, untimely favorites seem to be Billy, Jose, Lauren, Kent, Robert, who received a much more eager response than their cohorts. Where’s the love for the girls (with the omission of Lauren), people? Of course, the studio audience could be made up of typically friends and family, so who knows.

Cat, whose bun may be bigger than the rest of her head, tells us we will learn a small something about every one of our dancers tonight. Oh, joy. Because this is forever exciting. Not.

Air hostess who grabbed Cheryl Cole`s wrist is allegedly obsessed with star

The woman lately seen grabbing Cheryl Cole's wrist following an X Factor audition is reportedly obsessed with her.

Cheryl, 26, looked distraught when air hostess Danielle Beeres, 21, grabbed her wrist and asked her to sign a DVD cover outside a hotel in Birmingham subsequent an X Factor audition.

One of Danielle's former colleagues said to UK newspaper The Sun: Danielle is mad about Cheryl, so in a way I'm not astonished she'd done this. All she talks about is Cheryl.

'I've even heard her telling passengers how astonishing she is. We have to carry around cabin folders with our paperwork and hers are complete of pictures of Cheryl ripped from magazines and papers.

It's bizarre to see her sat there on a flight signing Cheryl's name on bits of scrap paper. And weirder when she signs her individual name Danielle Cole.

She's surely a little bit eccentric, to say the least.

Same dress, different day for Natalie Imbruglia

THE dash of publicity may have gone to Natalie Imbruglia's head, given her wardrobe choices this week.

Imbruglia stepped in on Monday to replace Dannii Minogue as a visitor judge at the UK's X Factor auditions at Birmingham and turned up in this unbecoming pink dress, which was extensively commented on.

She then broke all the rules by tiring it again on Tuesday.

Photographers thought it may have been to preserve a continuity of shots on the program, but then fellow judges, including Cheryl Cole, lobbed in fab latest outfits.

Imbruglia was perhaps unprepared for the contest she faces against Cole, who waged a style war against Minogue on the earlier series.

Things got worse for Nat yesterday when the 35-year-old told two teens they weren't much excellent. They reply: Sorry, who are you?

Naomi Watts: I Want A Thicker Skin

Naomi Watts says she is tremendously shy and wishes she had a thicker skin.

The actress struggled to create it in Hollywood until she landed a role in Mulholland Drive when she was 31. She admits she took criticism too personally when she went to auditions and began to feel like she had lost her individuality.

Naomi says her timid nature makes it not easy to cope in unfamiliar situations or talk to new people.

Everyone said I was an overnight victory, but it was ten years foremost up to that. I didn’t have a thick skin, I was so aware, she said in an interview for the July issue of Marie Claire magazine. There are people who can saunter into a room and just be themselves. I desire I was that person but it’s not me. I’m very timid. I’m awful at parties. I went to a club the other night and felt so awkward and ungroovy. Everybody else just looks so cool. It’s just how I’ve always been.

Naomi believes her shyness is down to the fact that her family moved approximately when she was growing up. She grows up in Britain, but her family then relocated to Australia when she was 14. She has also spent a substantial amount of time in Los Angeles. The 41-year-old presently lives in New York with Liev Schreiber and their two kids.

'So You Think You Can Dance' recap: Sob stories will only get you so far

So You Think You Can Dance wrapped up its city auditions tonight and progressed, luckily, to Las Vegas. We'd much rather see excellent dancers dance badly out of their genre than actually bad dancers dance badly in their own genre.

Tonight also marks the return of Tyce DiOrio, my least preferred judge (yes, I like him even less than Screamin Mary Murphy): His ludicrous sideburns are still intact, and he still makes those maddening noises with his mouth. I think a few people call it talking.
