New ABC series 'No Ordinary Family' acting auditions now taking place

ABC has picked up the latest series No Ordinary Family starring Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz. Casting director John Papsidera is presently conducting auditions for other series regulars, guest stars, and day players. The show centers on an American family unit whose members have special abilities. Chiklis and Benz have fun the parents. It is not known what, if any, roles from the pilot incident will be re-cast. Re-casting of roles from pilots is a very general practice in the entertainment industry.

David Semel directed the pilot and will serve as one of the managerial producers of the series. Semel has been executive producer and/or director on such show as House, Heroes, Beverly Hills 90210, and Dawson's Creek. He has two Primetime Emmy prize nominations.

No Ordinary Family has been described as a live action version of The Incredible. This is ABC's first bureaucrat series pickup of the year and production will begin in summer 2010.
