A Scots ballet teacher who flouted a police order not to continue her inapt relationship with a talented and vulnerable 15-year-old boy dancer has been handed a poised jail term.
Sarah Pirie, 27, committed a serious breach of faith when they met and she gave him a lift in her car a week after she was banned from any contact.
She was also accused of having sex with the boy but prosecutors determined in November to offer no evidence on those allegations.
Her victim, Reece Washing-ton, who waived his obscurity, claimed in a newspaper article that they had sex on the back seat of her car.
Sentencing her yesterday at Preston Crown Court, Judge Michael Byrne accepted there was no sexual activity between the pair – who met at Clifton Dance Academy in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire – but told her she went past the boundaries of your service.
Pirie, who is initially from Dundee but now lives in Luxembourg, was jailed for 35 weeks, suspended for two years, after she admitted a accuse of child abduction, and was also given a two-year supervision order.
